How to actually get a visa in Argentina
Most of the information online about Argentine immigration is outdated, contradictory, or written by people who never went through the process themselves.
This site documents what actually works — real processing times, the documents they actually ask for, which offices to go to, and what to do when things go sideways. All based on firsthand experience since 2019.
Visa types
These are the main options. Not every visa is realistic for every situation — the guides explain which ones people actually get approved for and why.
Your passport matters
The requirements change a lot depending on where you're from. Some nationalities have huge advantages (Mercosur countries basically walk in). Others need more paperwork.
The stuff nobody tells you
Beyond the visa itself, there's a lot of practical stuff to figure out — banking, housing, healthcare, the RADEX system, what to do when your background check expires mid-application.
Guides by profession
Different jobs mean different visa paths. A remote developer has completely different options than a doctor or a restaurant owner.

About this site
I moved to Buenos Aires in 2019 and spent years figuring out how Argentine immigration actually works. This site is everything I learned. I'm not a lawyer — for anything beyond the basics, talk to a real one.
